Aamaly Hossain earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Journalism at the University of Maryland. Before joining W. Thomas Yi & Associates, Aamaly worked at the Maryland Office of the Public Defender’s in Prince George’s County and interned with the State's Attorney's Office in Calvert County. She has seen the justice system from both sides, and that experience shaped the way she approaches her work. Those experiences gave her a well-rounded view of the justice system from both sides and deepened her commitment to advocating for people navigating it.
At the firm, Aamaly is known for her strong expertise in technology and her compassion for clients. She uses the tools available to keep cases organized, deadlines tracked, and communication clear, which means fewer surprises and less stress for the people she serves. She takes the time to explain what's happening, answer questions, and make sure no one feels lost in the process.
Aamaly plans to attend law school and hopes to practice in personal injury, criminal law, or family law. Each of those fields draws her for the same reason: they're the moments when people most need someone in their corner. She sees her work at the firm as the foundation for that future.
Outside of the office, Aamaly is one of six sisters and treasures the time she spends with her family. She also enjoys junk journaling and watching movies.
